Great Clients through Branding? Say More
My friend. I am so glad you’re here. I feel like I say this about every episode, but today’s episode is going to be so dang good. It’s full of amazing nuggets of wisdom as well as a ton of practical tips. I’m joined by my friend Alexis Campbell, of Lex Creative Studios, and she’s sharing all about the importance of knowing exactly who you want to serve and attracting them through great branding in order to not take on a bunch of small projects and burning out!
Alexis is the lead designer of Lex Creative Studios, and she spent over a decade working in the worlds of beauty and media communications, as a professional makeup artist and blogger, where she honed her skills of graphic design and photography. She retired from the beauty industry in 2018 and focused all of her efforts into creating a business that took everything she knew about marketing, brand development, web design, and most importantly, empowering ambitious women through the power of a makeover — only now, she’s making over brands!
Not only is Alexis incredibly experienced and wow, does she know her stuff, but she’s just one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. She is so authentic and as you’ll hear in this episode, I took one look at her Instagram and was immediately pulled in – despite the fact that I’m not her ideal audience at all and she makes that really clear (which again, you’ll hear about real soon!). I’m so excited for you to get to know Alexis and hear all of the wisdom she has for you.
You’re listening to episode 032 of the Chasing Simple podcast. Let’s dive in.

I’m Alexis, lead designer and founder of Lex Creative Studios. For over a decade, I worked in the worlds of beauty and media communications, as a professional makeup artist and blogger. In that world of intense brand campaigns and social media marketing, I honed my skills in graphic design and photography. I retired from the beauty industry in 2018 and focused all my efforts into creating a business that took everything I knew about marketing, brand development, web design, and most importantly, empowering ambitious women through the power of a makeover. I realized I was still in the transformation business, but this time, I get to help women makeover their brands!
At Lex Creative, we focus on rebranding and website design for women-led small businesses in the wellness industry, specifically coaches, and healthy lifestyle brands. As a former beauty professional, I know firsthand how important first impressions are. By working as a makeup artist in fashion and entertainment in the bustling cities of New Orleans and New York City, I was able to be a part of some amazing campaigns and marketing projects. I’ve worked with brands like Gap, Neiman Marcus, Maybelline, Seventeen Magazine, Anne Klein, Donna Karan, Zac Posen, Dennis Bosso, Essence Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Vanity Fair, Warby Parker, to name just a few.
These days I’m blessed to share all that I’ve accumulated through the years to help women run their businesses well and be more profitable through the power of my signature service, the Total Brand Makeover. The service is rooted in helping female coaches & experts in wellness achieve an authentic brand identity that not only accurately reflects their level of expertise, but also highlights their true personality, so that they can solidify their unique positioning as an industry authority and book high ticket clients.
