Last night I finally booked my AirBnB for my writing retreat … next week. I kept putting it off – unsure if the money would be there, unsure if I could actually take the time away, feeling conflicted about being away during Russell’s first week of shift work … and ultimately just not feeling sure if I was actually going to do this.
Who am I to write a book?
Is anyone actually going to read it?
Can I truly afford the process of getting it done?
Will it help anyone??
There have been so many doubts swirling in my head about this. But last night I decided to take the step scared. Some people say “push past the fear”, but the fear is still there. I’m very much not past it.
But I typed in my business credit card numbers anyways, and booked the AirBnB.
Next week, I’m getting away for four days and getting this rough draft written. I’m going to miss Russell and the cats terribly, but it will be good to get away from my responsibilities. And, of course, I’m not going to be that far from home if I want to come back.
Love and cat-hair hugs,
Amanda
